Limpopo Education MEC Mavhungu
Lerule-Ramakhanya had on Friday 31 May
2024, visited the families of Educators who died in a taxi crash on Tuesday. 10
educators from Bochum cluster died on their way to work when the Taxi they were
traveling in collided head-on with a truck. The educators, the Taxi driver, and
2 other drivers were declared dead on the scene.
The names of our fallen heroes in education are
as follows:

The funeral and joint memorial service are
planned as follows:

A joint memorial service is planned for
Thursday, 06 June 2024 at Senwabarwana Stadium.

Safety, Mme Florence Radzilani, Representatives of Kgoŝi Moloto, led by Dr
Matuma Moloto, the leadership of SANTANCO in Limpopo, the leadership of South African Council of
Churches, the leadership of our teacher unions, SACE and Assupol for
accompanying us during this difficult but necessary journey " MEC
Lerule-Ramakhanya said. The MEC would also like to thank Assupol for
volunteering to contribute an amount of
R10,000 to each family, including the family of the Taxi driver, as part of the
condolences.
