Limpopo Education Department, in collaboration with ETDP-SETA, will train a new cohort of ECD practitioners in the current financial year. The training of practitioners was initiated following a function shift from Social Development in 2022. The department registered 153 ECD last year and, on course, to register 130 new centers in the current financial year. The capacitation of the practitioners will assist the participants in ECD norms and standards to increase compliance.

MEC Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanga will later hand over 3000 tablets to grade 8 and 12 learners in various schools. Matric learners from Chika Secondary School at Moletji in the Capricorn North District will be the first to receive tablets in the current financial year.

 The Training of ECD Practitioners launch will be at Bolivia Lodge at 09h00 in the morning on Wednesday, and the MEC will proceed to Chika Secondary at 14h00 to hand-over the tablets
