LEARNERS SIGN THE PLEDGE TO PAVE WAY FOR CREDIBLE RESULTS |
Mokopane - Grade 12 learners pledge to be honest and not to
cheat during their final examination. Limpopo Department of Education MEC
Mavhungu Lerule Ramakhanya together with top echelons of the department
attended a ceremony to witness Grade 12 learners as they commit themselves and
pledge that they will not participate in any irregular activities when writing
their final examinations. The ceremony was held at Mogalakwena EMPC in Mokopane
and was attended by more than 700 Grade 12 learners across Mogalakwena
Education District. MEC encouraged learners to keep studying and not get
distracted by anything in this period. She told learners that anyone caught
cheating will be banned from writing their Grade 12 examinations for a period
of three (3) years, therefore signing the pledge means they promise to be
honest and not cause any irregularities as there will be serious consequences
should they be caught. “When you enter the examination room, you become an
individual that should face the question paper, and you need to be ready to
say, I am ready to take up the challenge. The journey that you have walked
since January should be able to pay off” said MEC. MEC Lerule - Ramakhanya
emphasized that parent, educators, SGB members and school Principals have
worked hard, and this is how far they can push and take you to arrive at your
destination. In giving conclusion remarks, Mogalakwena Distritct Director, Ndo
Mangala thanked all educators, SGB and stakeholders for their continuous
efforts and hard work to ensure that no learner is left behind and is ready to
write their examinations.
