Polokwane - The 2020 academic year is here! Limpopo Department of Education MEC Polly Boshielo recently embarked on the Back to School campaign by visiting schools in Sekhukhune, Mopani and Capricorn education districts.

The campaign aims to inspire learners to start thinking positively about their schooling as the year starts in earnest. “Hardwork starts today. Never think otherwise and we want all of you to start taking school work seriously. You have to stay disciplined, stay focused and above all work hard every single day. You postpone hard work, you postpone your bright future” said MEC Boshielo adding that learners must not be discouraged by where they come from. “It is not where you come from that determines where you are going” MEC Boshielo also used her visit to schools to interact with the School Management Teams to establish what challenges exist and what interventions are required to overcome them in the interest of learners and their education. “We must amplify our efforts in dealing with these challenges. We want you to be in class teaching and we also want these learners to be in the classrooms. This is the culture that must reign supreme in our schools and we must not compromise on it” Through the visits to schools, MEC wants to support learners in improving and strengthening the quality of education. Boshielo is committed to make sure that every learner has access to quality education in the Province. #Black child will pass ka Nkane. “Good quality free education can deliver almost immeasurable positive results for the wider society by helping to shape citizens in their communities. Remember the journey towards education for all has been a long one. The department clearly recognizes education as the cornerstone of developments, and therefore declared it a constitutional rights for all.”
